InMed Healthcare has provided the specialist construction of isotope dispensing labs for over 29 years. Many of the current “technologies” that current companies feature in their competitive labs were actually developed and designed by InMed Healthcare.

These features include the lead lined drop down waste systems for both PET and Nuclear medicine Labs.

These features were first adopted by us in 2001 in the labs pictured below, they also included the recessed dose calibrators and under bench waste cupboards with an opening in the front for easy disposal.

We have based our designs and expertise around AS/NZS 2982:2010 Laboratory Design and Construction plus AS/NZS 2243.4:2018 Safety in laboratories Ionizing radiations.

These are the standards applicable to lab construction, so we understand the grading of the labs and the requirements therein.

We are able to be involved in as much or as little of your project as needed when it comes to the custom made joinery.

In consultation with the client we ascertain the exact needs for the project. This will include evaluating the space and proposing 3 dimensional designs so you can visualise how your lab may look.

From there we formalise your designs into shop drawings;

We custom make the lab to suit your requirements including using the highest quality steel framed enclosures with heavy duty bearing hinges to be able to support the hundreds of kilograms needed for PET and Hotlab benches and their enclosures.

We test assemble all units before delivering to site to make sure everything is perfect and that it works exactly as designed.

It’s the attention to detail that ensures everything goes smoothly.

We work with local stainless steel manufacturers to measure your site and custom make the benchtop to fit even the most difficult of spaces perfectly.

Our highly skilled installers are then able to put everything together and finish off the lab ready for other trades, including on site welding of the stainless steel benchtop.
