The Adult Brain (Complex) phantom is constructed to resemble an average brain using realistic tissue-mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound, MRI, and X-Ray/CT scans. It provides realistic T2 relaxation time values, making it ideal for T2-weighted MRI imaging. Proton Density imaging methods also yield good results.
The Adult Brain (Complex) phantom is designed based on an average brain, and it is made out of realistic tissue-mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound, MRI, and X-Ray/CT. The complex arteries and vessels allow for angiography training and applications.
In terms of MRI applications, the phantom tissues have realistic T2 relaxation time values, which makes this product to be the best fit for any T2-weighted MRI imaging methods. Very good results can also be achieved with Proton Density imaging methods. The phantom can still be imaged with T1-weighted methods, but the T1 values are less realistic, and they are within the range of about 100 ms.
Upon special request, the phantom features and the properties of the tissue-mimicking materials can be customized based on the requirements of any particular project.
